Taking Requests

If you have something you'd like to see explained in detail or a question you think many folks have, let me know. I'll queue it up.

  1. I was trying to sort out a Mysql database with php front-end to sort out a list of films (so I could organise alphabetically or my year). Is there a way to do this easily using a Gnome program with GUI?

  2. I'd love it if your rss feed contained a one or two line summary of the subject as well as the subject title, thanks.

  3. Gonna take advantage of the Sidebar offer:

I recently picked up an Action Replay DS, which is capable of connecting to a PC using a USB cable. Unsurprisingly, this doesn't work too well in Linux.

I have a feeling it can be made to work, even if the management software has to be left out of the loop. The codes that get loaded onto the device are distributed in XML, and I imagine stored that way as well, so I should be able to manually move these file onto and off of the device.

The only catch is that Linux doesn't recognize the device at all. I can see the Action Replay in gnome-device-manager and lsusb, so I know it's connecting, but have no idea how to tell Linux to let me access it like it was a usb drive.

I also asked this question at ubuntuforums[1], with no response. That thread also contains the lsusb output.
